About school

English (ESL) School Express is 15 years old. It was operated first in Moscow, then in Vancouver, and now in Montreal. The school was created for teaching English to adults, mostly professionals and business people working in different countries. Its founder, Evgenia Bakulina, M.Sc. (Moscow), PhD (McGill, Montreal), developed special programs for teaching English to students from different countries. She elaborated special programs for Slavic, Asian (Chinese, Korean) and Spanish-speaking students.

The school works in several directions:

  • Intensive Communication Course for newcomers (2months program)
  • Fast improvement in communication for people working in English-speaking environment
  • Preparing for a job interview and citizenship test
  • Activities and services for a better adaptation in Canada

School Express is located at 705 rue Bourget, on the top of a classy redstone building. It is easily accessible by metro - you can choose to exit at metro station Lionel-Groulx (intersection of green and orange lines) or at metro Place St.Henry (orange line). Several minutes of walking along rue St.Jacque will give you good spirits for studying. If you come by car, we can offer you a free parking.

A fully equipped kitchen and a dining room await those who don’t have enough time to eat before classes or time to study home. A big terrace with a beautiful bird-eye view is available for fresh air lovers and smokers. You can relax watching downtown and speaking to each other.

On Saturdays, we run English Social Club where students practice their English sitting with a cup of tea and watching excerpts from North-American movies, discussing different topics, listening to English songs, etc. For those students who take the regular program Club is free.
